This summer I’ve lined up a playlist of business books, blogs and podcasts to give myself a new boost of inspirational thinking.

Alongside the usual juggle of childcare, playdates, holiday, client work and 1:2:1 time with the little one during the summer holidays, I have set aside time to reflect.

I am creating pockets of time to reflect on my coaching practice, what I bring to my clients, how I can help them in new ways to grow their businesses with intention, balance and purpose.

So I have created a ‘soundtrack to my summer’, which consists of books, blogs and podcasts on business and personal development to get inspired by new takes on business and new research on mindfulness, purpose and coaching techniques.

I wanted to share them with you in the hope that some of them resonate and bring some new perspectives to your thinking.

Self Compassion by Kristin Neff

This has been on my ‘to read’ list all year and is long overdue. While not a business book, it’s a must-read for all women in business who are a tad tough on themselves.

It’s got some practical exercises too, so I’ll report back after the summer. Check out this YouTube video for an intro to her work.
